Leaving the quay in Galaxidi, we are off to travel through the Corinth canal. The Corinth canal “is an artificial canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea.” Rich was thrilled to navigate the canal. It has been labeled as a fantastic feat of engineering. The trip time down the canal was a little less than an hour.
Our day ended in Korfus. The village has been recently developed over the past few years, is very quiet, and seems to attract families. In fact, a French dad and two children swam up to the boat, just to say hello, and catch their breathe before the long swim back to shore. The kids were thrilled to wave to their Mom onshore from our boat!
