Happy Birthday to our niece, Mary Kate!

(10/16) Before leaving Sa Calobra, Rich and I took the dinghy ashore to explore the famous Port de Soller sight. The off white, pebbly beach was more breathtaking on land than from afar. Storms were looming, so our visit was a quick. With a James Bond type ride back to the boat, we barely missed the rain, pulled up the anchor, and headed to sea to the next destination, Calvia.

Incidentally, we are actually not “running with the wind,” but from it. Our plan is to be as “snug as a bug” in the Palma marina by the end of the week, avoiding the forecast-ed 50+ mile per hour winds and ten foot swells.

Our sails around beautiful Mallorca have been delightful, with fabulous stops along the way. This is definitely the calm before the storm!
