Menton, 4/28-5/01, 2023

Today, we had a beautiful sail! It was just like the ones seen in the movies complete with clear, sunny skies and calm, salty, deep blue water. Our adventure lead us past Nice and Monaco, offering stunning sights of the landscapes and impressive homes. We saw tons of large fish breaking water with the fishermen eager to join in on the action. Our day ended at a marina in Menton, France, which is close to the border of Italy. Known for its beaches and gardens, the medieval town is home to the Basilique Saint-Michael and the Musee Jean Cocteau, poet. With rain in the forecast, our plan is to spend the next few days visiting Monte Carlo, Nice, and Eze. Here are some photos of Menton. The first is a photo showing just how much salt accumulates on the boat despite the air being so dry.
